In the bustling heart of the VCCI building resides the micro office of Becton Dickinson, an American multinational titan in medical technology. Specializing in the manufacturing and distribution of cutting-edge medical devices, instrument systems, and reagents, Becton Dickinson (BD) also extends its expertise through consulting and analytics services across select geographical regions. The essence of their business demands a workspace that is not only compact but also exudes professionalism and functionality.
APES, tasked with the challenge of creating a micro office that encapsulates BD's ethos within a limited space, embarked on a journey of architectural innovation. Their solution was a meticulously crafted environment comprising an entrance lobby, open working area, a single meeting room, and a designated chillout zone. This amalgamation of spaces was carefully designed to fulfill the diverse needs of BD's operations while maintaining an aura of sophistication and efficiency.
Central to APES Design's approach was the integration of BD's brand identity into the architectural framework. By leveraging the company's signature blue and orange tones, materials and furniture were meticulously selected to echo the vibrancy and professionalism synonymous with the BD brand. Every element, from the sleek mica partition system delineating private workspaces to the three-compartment cabinets ensuring organizational efficiency, was thoughtfully curated to align with BD's image.
The entrance lobby, despite being minimalist in design, serves as a symbolic gateway to BD's realm of innovation. It sets the tone for visitors, conveying a message of precision and sophistication from the moment they step foot into the micro office. Immediately adjacent to this symbolic space lies the expansive meeting room, strategically positioned to welcome clients and collaborators with open arms. Its prominent location at the forefront of the office ensures a seamless transition from reception to business discussions, fostering an environment conducive to productive interactions.
Together with a basic manager room, the open working area embodies the essence of BD's collaborative culture. Here, employees engage in their daily tasks within a vibrant ambiance, fueled by the harmonious blend of brand-inspired hues. The incorporation of the chillout zone opposite the work area further enhances collaboration, providing a casual space for impromptu discussions and brainstorming sessions.
