Amethyst Office

In perfect alignment with the core values of a financial investment startup, Amethyst has articulated a request for an office space that encapsulates the principles of modernity, flexibility in management, and agile working methodologies. The overarching color scheme, predominantly black and white with nuanced accents of natural gray and brown wood tones, adheres to the overarching concept: the embodiment of luxurious class through minimalism.
In the realization of this vision, Apes Design has ingeniously introduced the concept of “box in box" to this project, transforming private rooms into adaptable entities that can be selectively “closed or opened" based on user requirements. A notable innovation within this design is the incorporation of a sliding aluminum glass door system, facilitating instantaneous alterations to the spatial configuration. When opened, it seamlessly integrates two working areas, fostering a sense of spaciousness conducive to common activities. Furthermore, this door system significantly enhances air circulation, engendering emotional connections among team members and promoting a collaborative working ethos.
The first working area, equipped with fixed PCs, accommodates seven individuals facing the wall, ensuring privacy and concentration. The second area, designed for general work, comprises ten basic tables and chairs with a streamlined aesthetic. This deliberate design allows for effortless rearrangement, enabling flexibility in room layout to accommodate diverse purposes, from individual work, group collaboration, to extensive discussions, like a temporal open meeting room.
Adjacent to these working zones lies a multifunctional area that serves various purposes, from receiving guests to providing employees with a space to unwind and engage in spontaneous conversations. To infuse an artistic element and create a focal point within this expansive space, a large-size contemporary-style mural has been hung.
The final working area, distinguished by the director's desk corner, exemplifies a spirit of dynamism and equality, with the director's desk designed with minimalist principles, echoing the overall aesthetic coherence of the office.
The deliberate decision to expose and paint the entire ceiling in black serves to expand the perception of space. This black ceiling, juxtaposed against the gray felt floor, generates a compelling contrast, amplifying the elegance of the office furniture ensemble.
Flexibility emerges as the paramount consideration in this design endeavor, evident in the strategic placement of floor sockets across various locations. These sockets are adeptly equipped with high-speed wifi and 5G systems, ensuring users can seamlessly work from any position within the office, including the sofa in the guest waiting area.
Beyond these features, the infusion of greenery within the office space serves as a holistic touch, fostering a rejuvenating atmosphere that allows users to rebalance amidst the demands of a potentially stressful work environment. In essence, the Amethyst office, designed by APES, stands as a testament to the harmonious intersection of innovation, functionality, and aesthetic sophistication.
